The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) in its quest to promote, assist and facilitate the efficient development of tourism and Barbados’ tourism product, is seeking to recruit exceptionally skilled individuals to fill the position of Multimedia Specialist.

 

ROLE SUMMARY

Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. is seeking a creative and technically skilled storyteller to fill the position of Multimedia Specialist. They will be responsible for producing high-quality multimedia content that supports destination marketing, across digital and traditional platforms. As a key member of the Marketing & Communications team, this role combines photography, videography, motion content and digital asset management to deliver compelling destination-focused storytelling that strengthens the organisation’s brand identity and supports marketing objectives.

 

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce, edit, and deliver multimedia content including photography, video, short-form social media content, motion graphics, and basic design assets for destination marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Translate destination marketing strategies into engaging visual storytelling tailored to diverse audiences and platforms.
  • Manage end-to-end production processes including concept development, planning, shooting, and post-production editing.
  • Create platform-optimised content for social media, digital advertising, web, and promotional channels.
  • Ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and alignment across all visual outputs.
  • Manage and optimise the organisation’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, including metadata, tagging, and asset organisation.
  • Oversee outsourced production work with agencies, freelancers, and vendors, including development of creative briefs, production oversight, and quality control of deliverables.
  • Manage multimedia equipment, production logistics, and support scheduling of shoots and production projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support campaign development and creative direction.
  • Review content performance metrics and apply insights to improve future multimedia outputs.

 

SUMMARY OF KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or diploma in Multimedia Production, Film, Photography, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in photography, videography and multimedia production, including shooting and post-production.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and digital content creation for multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator; InDesign an asset).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Creative with a strong commitment to brand consistency, quality, and excellence.
  • Familiarity with social media content formats, trends and optimisation practices.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with or exposure to Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital and video content would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a Mac-based production environment is preferred.
