Multifloor Construction Supervisor

Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager

Location: Project Site

Employment Type: Full-time / Contract

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Construction Site Supervisor (Multi-Storey Building) is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for mid- to high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. The role ensures that construction is executed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and applicable codes. The Site Supervisor acts as the primary on-site authority coordinating trades, enforcing quality standards, and maintaining construction progress.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Site Supervision & Trade Coordination

• Supervise daily construction activities across all floors and building zones

• Coordinate structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and finishing trades

• Ensure proper sequencing of work for vertical construction activities

• Monitor subcontractor performance and manpower levels

• Resolve site conflicts, constructability issues, and workflow clashes

 

Health, Safety & Environmental Management

• Enforce all site health and safety policies and regulatory requirements

• Conduct daily safety inspections and weekly toolbox talks

• Ensure fall protection, hoisting, scaffolding, and confined space procedures are followed

• Maintain safety records, permits, and incident reports

• Immediately address unsafe acts or conditions

 

Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)

• Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, and approved shop drawings

• Inspect concrete, formwork, reinforcement, waterproofing, façade, and interior finishes

• Coordinate testing and inspections with consultants and authorities

• Identify deficiencies and ensure timely corrective actions

• Maintain inspection checklists and QA/QC documentation

 

Schedule & Progress Control

• Monitor daily and weekly progress against the master schedule

• Assist with short-term look-ahead planning

• Track milestone completion by floor and trade

• Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective measures

 

Materials, Equipment & Vertical Logistics

• Coordinate material deliveries, hoisting schedules, and laydown areas

• Ensure proper storage and protection of materials on site

• Oversee use of tower cranes, hoists, lifts, and temporary works

• Prevent material damage, loss, and congestion

 

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site logs, progress photos, and manpower reports

• Record inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions

• Assist with progress reporting and payment certifications

• Support close-out activities including punch lists and turnover documentation

 

Meetings & Communication

• Participate in weekly site coordination and safety meetings

• Liaise with Project Manager, consultants, inspectors, and subcontractors

• Communicate construction constraints and sequencing requirements clearly

• Promote a professional and cooperative site environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline

• Minimum 3 years of experience on multi-storey or high-rise construction projects

• Strong knowledge of concrete structures, vertical construction sequencing, and building systems

• Experience coordinating multiple trades across active floors

• Extended hours and weekend work may be required
