Seeking a Renewal Specialist to manage mortgage renewals, maintain client relationships, and negotiate terms to maximize retention. Requires strong communication, organization, customer service, and negotiation skills, plus knowledge of mortgage processes.

We are looking for a hard-working Renewal Specialist to join our dynamic team.     

The Renewal Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with Mortgage Brokers and Borrowers whose mortgages are approaching maturity. They must review each file, assess clients’ needs, provide the necessary information, and negotiate renewals with the ultimate goal of retention, while adhering to established policies and procedures.



Duties and Responsibilities


• Proactively establish and maintain contact with Mortgage Brokers or Borrowers in the assigned portfolio of loans 90 to 120 days before maturity, positively representing Vault through the renewal process with a strong emphasis on customer service.

• Negotiate renewals within a predetermined pricing range while adhering to the underwriting criteria, timelines and other policies and procedures.

• Be self-directed and organized, balancing and maintaining the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned portfolio of loans. Ensuring quick turnaround time on email requests and a one-hour turnaround time on all phone messages.

• Prepare loan renewal documents for individual Borrowers, processing documents once signed and returned by Borrowers.

• Responsible for collecting and reviewing renewal documents, ensuring they meet renewal policies.

• Ensure all actions in the file are accurately and consistently documented.

• Track all interactions with borrowers and other external parties

• Self-motivated

• Strong customer service and negotiation skills

• Strong communication skills (professional, polished, clear verbal and written communication skills).

• Strong documentation skills and ability to manage large volumes of documentation.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize high volume workload and meet strict deadlines for tasks/assignments.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs are essential.

• Demonstrated sound judgment, ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.

• Working knowledge of residential mortgages and processes is an asset.
