Position Summary: 

As a Mortgage Officer, you will be responsible for the mortgage post-funding administrative processes. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced professional environment. Strong time management skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure data accuracy and updates within the servicing system.
• Record new loan deposits and promptly notify the funding team.
• Prepare and process paydown statements upon request, keeping relevant teams informed throughout.
• Oversee loan sales to multiple facilities, ensuring complete loan files, accurate forms and reports, and timely communication with all parties.
• Handle property insurance updates, amendments, and cancellations.
• Assist in managing the existing portfolio, including reviewing new loans post-funding and ensuring loan file accuracy.
• Manage discharge requests by preparing statements, coordinating with title custodians and lawyers, and updating the servicing system.
• Schedule and coordinate construction inspections and prepare construction advance documents.
• Address borrower inquiries via email and phone, identifying needs and providing suitable solutions.
• Process updates to mortgage accounts, including changes to borrower contact information, banking details and account modifications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Strong documentation skills and ability to manage large volumes of documentation.
• Excellent communication skills (professional, polished, clear verbal and written communication).
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to work in a changing and agile environment with constantly moving targets.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize high-volume workload, and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where flexibility, keeping others informed, and anticipating needs are essential.
• Sound judgment and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.
