To be responsible for work in the monitoring of pharmacies in the Chronic Disease Assistance Plan program (C-DAP). This includes visiting the pharmacies and perusing records, as well as advising on stock levels and storage conditions at pharmacies.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Verify all stocks related to the programme held at private pharmacies.

 

  • Ensure that proper inventory records are kept of all programme-related supplies inclusive of stock audits at the pharmacies.

 

  • Liaise with pharmacies to mitigate against the expiration of drugs in the programme.

 

  • Document and report losses, theft and fraudulent practices in the Programme.

 

  • Examine stock records to determine rates of consumption and stocking levels to prevent stock outs at pharmacies and Central Stores.

 

  • Retrieve and redistribute CDAP stock from CDAP Pharmacies to other CDAP pharmacies to avoid stock outs.

 

  • Investigates pharmacies that applied for the CDAP Programme inclusive of relocated pharmacies to ensure criteria are met for the delivery of CDAP services.

 

  • Monitors the pharmacies to ensure maintenance of requirements for the delivery of CDAP services.

 

  • Conduct Pharmacist verifications to ensure that Pharmacies are complying with the Pharmacy Board Act of Trinidad and Tobago.

 

  • Investigate queries/ discrepancies at pharmacies to ensure resolution under the guidance of the CDAP Pharmacist.

 

  • Retrieve expired or close to expired CDAP pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical stock from CDAP Approved pharmacies and return same to Central Stores.

 

  • Understanding of the CDAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to facilitate training and retraining of staff at the CDAP Pharmacies.

 

  • Perform any other related duties as necessary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

  • Associate Degree in Management /Supply Chain Management or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) – Level 3 or higher.

 

  • A Pharmacy Assistant Certificate from a recognized body will be an asset.

 

  • Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Trinidad and Tobago will be an asset.

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in stock management.

 

  • Any equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

 

  • A Valid Driver’s Permit. 

 

  • Must be in possession of a motor vehicle.

 

 

Special Skills and Knowledge:

 

 

  • Considerable knowledge and experience in audit of stores and stock verification.

 

  • Knowledge of storekeeping methods and procedures.

 

  • Ability to make inspections for determining the quantity of goods in relation to purchases, prescriptions and balances.

 

  • Ability to inspect and report on stock inventory records.

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

  • Customer service oriented.

 

  • Competence in use of the Microsoft Office software package.

 

 SALARY: $9,548.00 per month (Not Negotiable)
