The Medical Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for promoting and selling medical equipment to healthcare professionals, hospitals, and clinics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and prospect new customers, including healthcare professionals and medical facilities, through research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals, highlighting the features, benefits, and clinical applications of medical products.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements with customers to secure sales, and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, industry developments to identify opportunities for growth, and stay ahead in the market.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in healthcare facilities, including physicians, nurses, department heads, and purchasing managers.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and product education to healthcare professionals and medical staff to ensure proper usage of equipment and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Determine the best offerings, giving demos and presentations.
  • Address customer concerns, inquiries, and product-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to assess their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Product Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Stay up to date with the latest medical advancements, industry regulations, and competitive landscape to effectively position and differentiate the company's products.
  • Continuously update product knowledge and educate healthcare professionals on the clinical benefits and evidence-based outcomes of the products.
  • Conduct basic product trainings and workshops for healthcare professionals, ensuring they are equipped to handle and utilize the products correctly.
  • Any other assigned duty.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Training in Business Administration/Marketing, would be an asset
  • Project Management certificate would be an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in medical sales or a related field, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical products, equipment, and the healthcare industry.
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills to close deals and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites island wide.
External Contacts- You will work closely with healthcare providers to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and ensure post-sales support, including troubleshooting and product servicing
