The Mechanical Engineer will be primarily responsible for executing estimation and project engineering duties. You are required to design, develop, and oversee the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems and building automation solutions.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Design and engineer HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems, using industry-standard software and engineering principles.
  • Conduct load calculations, energy modelling, and system simulations to optimize HVAC system performance, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality while minimizing environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, and provide technical support and expertise throughout the design and construction process.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to assess existing HVAC systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend retrofit or upgrade solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Evaluate HVAC equipment, components, and materials for suitability, durability, and cost- effectiveness, and make recommendations for product selection and procurement.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to assess system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Evaluation of Tender document and RFQ.
  • Prepare RFI and send to suppliers.
  • Execute equipment selection and prepare schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar programs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy, precision, and quality in all aspects of engineering work.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and build positive relationships with project stakeholders.
