Mechanical Engineer

Responsible for leading and supporting mechanical engineering activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Oversees maintenance programs, manages engineering projects, ensures compliance with standards, and drives continuous improvement across all equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering functions to achieve desired safety, reliability, and integrity standards for all plant and equipment.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize performance of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and manufacturing machinery.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and FSSC 22000 standards for all mechanical and engineering operations.
• Determine capital investment needs and prepare CAPEX proposals, business cases, and technical documentation to sustain desired reliability levels.
• Plan, implement, and supervise engineering and capital projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with the Projects Team, OEMs, and external contractors to ensure project success, safety, and compliance.
• Provide technical expertise and engineering support to Operations, Maintenance, and other departments.
• Maintain detailed documentation of equipment specifications, engineering drawings, and modifications.
• Support plant audits, inspections, and the timely closure of all corrective actions.
• Ensure all mechanical systems and processes meet statutory, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and develop new recruits and team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Identify and execute improvement initiatives using root cause analysis and innovative solutions to enhance plant efficiency.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to company values across all engineering activities
