Job Summary

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the effective management, control, and coordination of materials within an oil and gas operational environment. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, timely material availability, and compliance with company and industry standards to support uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between physical stock and system data.
  • Perform routine cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials in accordance with industry and safety standards.
  • Support material movements including transfers, returns, and dispatch to operational sites.
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo or similar) for inventory transactions and reporting.
  • Prepare inventory reports, usage analysis, and stock forecasts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and inventory issues.
  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and operational procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in materials coordination, inventory control, or warehouse operations within the oil & gas industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with inventory management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, stock management, and materials handling.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, in a high-demand operational environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data management.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
