MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
The incumbent is responsible for creating and implementing marketing standards and strategies that drives leasing activity, enhance tenant retention, and elevate the brand presence of the company’s commercial real estate portfolio (owned and managed properties).
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Defines and upholds the visual and brand standards that define Class A properties, employing an accountability framework to ensure that standard is maintained.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for individual properties and the overall portfolio to drive leasing activity and elevate brand visibility.
- Assist in the identification of suitable prospects to lease vacant spaces in owned and managed properties
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective tenants, including credit checks, financial assessments, and business plan reviews to ensure tenant suitability and mitigate risk
- Facilitate tenant onboarding by promoting company services and ensuring a smooth transition from lease execution to occupancy
- Prepare and deliver market presentations and negotiate contracts with potential clients
- Monitor, track and report on marketing and leasing KPIs to support decision making.
- Perform detailed market research to identify market trends in rates, occupancy, inflation, and best practices in leasing to identify new opportunities
- Oversee the company website and social media presence to ensure content is current and engaging
- Plan and execute tenant appreciation events, broker open houses, and other promotional activities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
POSITION SPECIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Architecture, Design, or a related field
- A Real Estate Salesman License is an asset
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in marketing or business development, with a preference for candidates who have at least two (2) years experience in leasing commercial and/or residential properties
- Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, with measurable impact
- Solid understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms
- Experience in budget preparation and financial planning
- Familiarity with real estate industry best practices, particularly within the building construction and property development sectors
- Results-driven and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong presentation and advisory capabilities
