The Marketing Assistant will support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives for all brands of the organization.

JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing Assistant will support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives for all brands of the organization. This role plays a key part in driving revenue growth, brand visibility, and customer engagement by assisting with campaign coordination, market research, customer feedback analysis, and performance reporting. The Marketing Assistant will also provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth execution of marketing activities, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful local campaigns and events.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Marketing Campaign Support & Revenue Generation

  • Assist in planning and executing sales-driven, integrated marketing campaigns across in-store, digital, email, and social media channels.
  • Support promotional programs (e.g., seasonal offers, product launches, upselling tactics) to drive customer traffic and sales.
  • Track campaign performance using dashboards and analytics, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Brand Management & Awareness

  • Assist in ensuring brand consistency across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and in-store touchpoints.
  • Assist with the coordination of local Public Relations, influencer collaborations, and community events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor brand reputation online, flagging notable mentions or customer sentiment trends.

Customer Acquisition & Retention

  • Support initiatives to attract new customers through local outreach, digital promotions, and sampling.
  • Assist with loyalty program campaigns, customer appreciation events, and occasion-based offers (e.g., birthdays).
  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to improve satisfaction and retention.

Social Media Management & Content Creation

  • Assist with managing social media accounts: scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and responding to comments and queries.
  • Propose and assist in developing creative content for social media, websites, emails, and printed materials.
  • Stay current with social media trends and suggest strategies to boost engagement.

Local Store Marketing (LSM) & Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with store teams to execute localized marketing strategies, partnerships, and sponsorships.
  • Develop LSM toolkits and track the success of grassroots campaigns.
  • Coordinate with communities and stakeholders to foster strong brand relationships at the store level.

 

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing store openings, roadshows, food fairs, training sessions, and other marketing events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, materials, permits, staffing, and vendor management.
  • Capture and organize event content and assist in post-event reporting and analysis.

Market Research & Insights

  • Research market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity.
  • Support the development of targeted campaigns by analysing internal data and market insights.

Administrative & Financial Support

  • Maintain marketing calendars, meeting notes, trackers, reports, and internal databases.
  • Assist with processing invoices, managing petty cash, and preparing financial documentation related to marketing.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and printers for campaign execution and material production.

Customer & Partner Relations

  • Communicate with customers, partners, and vendors to provide campaign information, respond to inquiries, and coordinate logistics.
  • Support sponsorship requests, product information sharing, and relationship management efforts

Cross-Functional Collaboration & General Duties

  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure that marketing efforts align with business goals.
  • Share customer and market insights to support internal decision-making.
  • Perform any other duties assigned in support of the marketing team and broader organizational initiatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in marketing, preferably in the Quick Service Restaurant, Retail, Hospitality industry or FMCG.
  • A good knowledge/ understanding of consumer behavior and retail
  • Proficiency in project management tools, CRM tools, Canva/ Adobe CC and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements

PHYSICAL/MENTAL ENVIRONMENT:

  • Combination of office and field work across multiple restaurant locations.
  • May require work outside of regular business hours for Emergencies, Marketing events, or project deadlines.
  • Some physical activity may be necessary, including site visits, lifting of light promotional items, etc.
  • Travel Demands: Must be able to travel for activities, promotions, training and regular store visits
