The manufacturing supervisor will oversee the activities of the production department while keeping in line with safety, health and environmental policies and proceedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring that all operational activities comply with established safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved in line with established forecasts and scheduled requirements.
Directs and oversees the activities of production staff on a shift basis, ensuring adherence to the established production schedule.
Ensures that all quality inspections are completed in accordance with the established inspection schedule.
Generate work requests and liaise with the Maintenance department when required to ensure optimal operation of machines and processing equipment to minimize downtime and to ensure safety.
Complete and validate daily production reports for each shift.
Investigate and initiate any disciplinary issues with employees as required and in adherence to the collective bargaining agreement between employees and the company.
Conduct training with production staff in accordance to work instructions and company policies as required.
Input required data into the ERP software solution as required.
Investigate, initiate, and close any disciplinary issues with employees as required.
Execute any other deliverables as directed by the Plant Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess a minimum of five (5) CSEC/O’Level/CXC subjects, including a minimum of a Grade II in both Mathematics and English Language.
Computer Literacy skills evidenced by training.
A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience in a related manufacturing/process environment, in the role of a supervisor.
Experience using an ERP system such as ODOO in a manufacturing environment will be an asset
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions.
