Manager - Supply Chain Operational Excellence

Our client, an organisation in the energy sector is seeking to fill the position of Manager - Supply Chain Operational Excellence.

JOB SUMMARY

This position drives supply chain functional excellence initiatives that enable performance and delivery. The incumbent will ensure compliance with key requirements, improve the efficiency of supply chain delivery through effective planning, simplification, standardisation and performance reporting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Custodian of the end-to-end supply chain process, governance and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) standard including; compliance, assurance, revisions, and documentation.
• Own and drive efficiency of the procure-to-pay (P2P) process including the management of systems, upgrades and any other related improvements - Works closely with Finance, IT and other relevant departments to determine opportunities and actions for improvement.
• Accountable for the coordination of supply chain strategy, development and delivery. Including integrated planning of deliverables and the project management and delivery of long-term value improvement initiatives (e.g. category management).
• Ensure critical KPIs for all areas are agreed, monitored, and reported.
• Accountable for managing supply chain interfaces and relationships to ensure quality and consistency of due diligence pre-award and drive the contractor safety and value delivery through a robust post award contract management process and assurance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A minimum ten (10) years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, contract, and category management, with at least five (5) years’ experience in a senior supervisory level supply chain role in a major project or asset/production operations.
• Supply Chain Accreditation e.g., CIPS will be an asset.
