JOB SUMMARY
The Pension Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's pension plans. The incumbent is required to:
The role involves a combination of financial expertise, regulatory compliance, and effective communication with both employees and external stakeholders.
Administration and Record-Keeping:
- Manage the day-to-day administration of pension plans, including:
Employee/Former Employee Communication:
- Provide clear and concise communication to employees and former employees regarding pension plans, benefits, and related matters; Pension benefit inquiries, requests, and complaints to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution as per the plans’ Dispute Resolution Procedures.
Conduct educational sessions or workshops to assist employees in understanding their pension options, retirement planning and smooth transitions for retiring employees.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the smooth operation of pension plans. These include but are not limited to third-party pension administrative support vendors, actuaries, legal advisors and financial advisors.
Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts with service providers to optimize costs and services.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports, and draft correspondence for Senior Management, the Executive, The Board Of Directors, and other interested parties, on matters related to the pension plans.
Accountable for the preparation and maintenance of all submissions to the External Auditors, Trustees and Actuaries for IAS19 Financial Reports, actuarial valuations for the pension plans as well as for the Company’s Financial Accounts.
Management Committee:
Secretary Duties - To perform the duties of the Secretary of the Management Committees as per the Trust Deeds and Rules of the Plans, which include but are not limited to:
- To manage and monitor assigned pension budgets.
Workplace Safety - to lead a high-performance work team in employee care activities and ensure all work of the section is completed safely, timely, accurately and in accordance with the Company’s established standards, policies,and procedures.
Manage all pension-related projects undertaken by the Company.
To perform such other related duties as assigned by the Senior Manager from time to time.
