Job Summary:

 

We're seeking an experienced Manager, Linux Systems and Infrastructure to lead our team in designing, deploying, and supporting Unix/Linux-based systems and infrastructure services. This role is part of our Center of Excellence (CoE) and will drive operational excellence, ensure system reliability, and support business growth with scalable and secure infrastructure.

 

Primary Objective of the Job:

 

Lead the team responsible for Unix/Linux systems and infrastructure services, driving operational excellence and ensuring system reliability.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Own architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of Unix/Linux systems
  • Oversee storage, virtualization, and backup infrastructure
  • Serve as technical escalation point for complex incidents and change activities
  • Drive strategic projects, develop infrastructure roadmaps, and manage project scopes and timelines
  • Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
  • Promote automation and improve performance monitoring
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain network devices and security controls
  • Support IT asset management and procurement

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of Unix/Linux systems administration experience
  • 3+ years in team leadership or managerial capacity
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification
  • VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
