Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis
Mayberry Investments Limited, one of Jamaica's premier financial institutions, seeks a strategic finance leader to join its executive finance function as Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis.
This high-impact role reports to the CFO, supporting the Board of Directors, and Leadership Team, driving enterprise-wide financial planning, performance management, and strategic reporting across the organization operating in loans, asset management, investment banking, broking, and wealth management. In this leadership role, you will shape Mayberry's financial strategy, strengthen resource allocation frameworks, and ensure world-class regulatory and Board-level reporting. This position is ideal for a commercially astute professional with strong analytical depth, executive presence, and proven experience in regulated financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Budgeting
Lead the annual strategic budgeting cycle from planning through Board approval
Partner with business unit leaders to align financial plans with enterprise strategic priorities
Develop multi-year financial forecasts incorporating business drivers and market trends
Deliver executive-level presentations to the Board and strategic committees
2. Performance Management & Reporting
Prepare monthly Board packages with KPI dashboards and insightful performance commentary
Oversee quarterly and annual MD&A narratives for the Annual Report
Produce regulatory financial reports for the Financial Services Commission (FSC)
Analyze revenue and cost trends, identifying opportunities and risks
Allocate financial performance across portfolios and business lines with accuracy
3. Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with Financial Institutions Act, Securities Act, and FSC requirements
Support regulatory submissions and audit processes
Maintain integrity of financial reporting and expense classification
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with senior stakeholders to develop actionable business insights
Translate complex financial analysis into clear recommendations for non-finance executives
Build trusted relationships with business unit finance teams
Candidate Profile
1. Required Qualifications
MBA in Finance, CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 4-5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or similar roles within financial services
Knowledge of Jamaican regulatory frameworks (Financial Institutions Act, Securities Act, FSC requirements)
Advanced Excel proficiency with demonstrated financial modeling expertise
Experience preparing Board-level materials and presenting to senior executives
2. Preferred Qualifications
Experience within regulated financial institutions (banking, investment management, insurance)
Background in both strategic planning and operational finance
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Experience with ERP systems and data integration
