JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a mature experienced individual to fill the position of Junior Accountant. The candidate should have over ten years general accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing organization.

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES

 Accounts Payable.

• Assist with checking and processing local and overseas payments.

Accounts Receivables.

• Assist with maintaining credit customer accounts.
• Communicating with credit customers to ensure balance is settled in full.
• Assist with checking off delivery books.
• Assist with billing corporate customers.

Payroll Processing.

• Assist with checking/processing payroll hence should be familiar with the labour laws of Jamaica.
• Post payroll Journal.
• Handle employee queries regarding payment.
• Checking Sales Representative incentive claims.
• Prepare annual returns schedule.

General ledger reconciliation

Costing

Property management

Preparing monthly reports

All other task assigned.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s in business administration (Accounting major) or ACCA LEVEL 1.
• At least 10 years general accounting experience.
• Competency in QuickBooks, Oasys Payroll and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, etc.
• Good Organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to details, the ability to multi-task and inventory management experience will be an asset.
