Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician – Mechanic to support the maintenance and reliability of our vehicle fleet and ground equipment. The successful candidate will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel, gasoline, and hydraulic systems used in daily operations. This role is critical to ensuring operational readiness, safety compliance, and minimal downtime across our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs on company vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas-powered systems using specialized tools and diagnostic software.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and service logs for all repairs and inspections performed.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and advise on reordering to ensure timely availability of critical components.
  • Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Conduct functional tests and quality checks after repairs to verify proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations team to address mechanical issues that may impact service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Auto Mechanics, or Industrial Maintenance from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing mechanical maintenance and repair on diesel, gasoline, or hydraulic equipment.

  • Basic computer literacy for maintenance logging and report updates

  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations, including JCAA, OSHA, or equivalent standards.
