The role is responsible for the maintenance of refrigeration, mechanical and electrical equipment across the Ground Service Equipment Fleet, Facility and Operation.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and diagnostic functions on all mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems according to the schedules set for type of equipment and operating conditions.
2. Execute daily checks of all refrigeration and operation (mechanical & electrical) equipment, and document findings to ensure that accurate records of equipment conditions and performance are maintained.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical related failures for facility, fleet and operation equipment.
4. Participate in root cause analysis for major equipment failures.
5. Assist with the installation and relocation of new and old plant equipment respectively.
6. Document and record completed routine maintenance and emergency repairs, in addition to processing and submitting in a timely manner.
7. Record tasks completed during service and repairs so that costs can be ascertained, and equipment history monitored.
8. Maintain tools and workspace in a satisfactory condition to optimize performance.
9. Recommend to the Maintenance Supervisor parts and supplies required to carry out service and repair functions.
10. Recommend to the Maintenance Supervisor actions necessary to maintain efficient equipment operation.

12. Assist the department in any other related functions as needed to meet the goals of the organization.
13. Perform any other maintenance related duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:
• At least five (5) years of experience working in a maintenance environment.
• Diploma in HVAC or equivalent
• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent
• A demonstrated combination of education and training
• Valid Driver’s license. Defensive Driving an asset.
• Valid Heavy T license.
• Basic First Aid
• Training in Health and Safety
• MS Office an asset
Physical requirements:
The role is required to spend extensive periods standing, it is recommended that breaks be taking periodically.
