The Assistant Maintenance Technician supports routine maintenance, equipment repairs, and safety standards across all restaurant locations. Working with technicians, the role helps ensure efficient operations, reduce downtime, and maintain a clean, safe environment for staff and customers.

The Assistant Maintenance Technician is integral to the daily maintenance operations across all restaurant locations within Restaurant Holdings Limited. This role supports Maintenance Technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring that restaurant facilities operate efficiently. Additionally, the position helps minimize downtime and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning work environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Routine Maintenance:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and lighting.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and replace faulty parts as necessary.
  • Assist in the upkeep of the restaurant's plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

Repairs and Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and repair issues with equipment, appliances, and systems.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and address critical breakdowns promptly.

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Track and record maintenance tasks and repairs

Sanitation and Safety:

  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards by assisting in regular inspections and repairs of equipment.
  • Monitor the proper functioning of safety equipment, such as fire alarms and extinguishers.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in managing inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for maintenance.
  • Ensure that maintenance materials are stored safely and securely.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the restaurant management and staff to ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
  •  Communicate effectively with team members regarding equipment status and repair timelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technician Certificate or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a similar technical role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
