The Maintenance Planner works with the maintenance and production departments, to ensure an effective maintenance operation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Planning and Scheduling:
• Responsible for developing and managing the maintenance schedules for factory Equipment.
• Digital tracking, scheduling, and documentation of all maintenance activities related to factory equipment, utilities, and
infrastructure using CMMS.
• To have technical skills to implement and define with Supervisors appropriate PM implementation.
• Help develop and maintain procedures for parts and work orders and ensure the plant compliance with these
procedures.
Contractor Engagement & Coordination
• Identify and engage qualified contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Prepare scopes of work, facilitate site walk downs, review quotations, and assist in contractor selection.
• Schedule contractor activities in alignment with production, maintenance and safety requirements.
• Management of contractor invoices
Inventory & Spare Parts Management
• Liaise with procurement, suppliers and OEM for timely ordering and delivery of parts. This includes as issue of purchase
orders and inventory adjustments
• Track usage and maintain accurate records in CMMS.
Administrative Duties
• Maintain maintenance documentation including work orders, service reports, certification, SOPs, and equipment
manuals.
• Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, and budget tracking documents.
• Manage technician schedules, attendance, and training records.
• Support internal and external audits with organized documentation.
Continuous Improvement
• Identifies and implements improvements to the maintenance processes in the facility.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Compliance & Food Safety
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP standards.
• Maintain traceable records for all maintenance interventions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
• Diploma in Engineering in either of the following areas Mechanical/ Electrical/ Engineering.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 years working knowledge and experience in managing maintenance schedules, maintenance budgets,
improvements of maintenance plans and must have route cause analysis technical know-how.
• Must have CMMS working knowledge and experience and be able to apply it to other programs for enhancement of data
collection
• Experience working with contractors and service providers.
• Familiarity with FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP standards will be an advantage
• Proficient TPM (PM Pillar)/ Lean experience will be an advantage
• Some working knowledge and experience of WCM will be an advantage
• MS Project working knowledge and experience will be an advantage
• Solid decision making and influential skills and experience is critical
• Must have in-depth working knowledge and experience in maintenance optimization and cost saving
• Working knowledge and experience in Manufacturing environment will be an advantage
