• Coordinate the activities of workers engaged in warehouse and delivery activities to ensure equitable distribution of workload amongst 18 team members • Maintenance of logistics standards and procedures

  • Establish, direct and co-ordinate the general policies of the warehouse
  • Co-ordinate and execute policies as determined by the General Manager – Tobago
  • Review the operation of the warehouse and report to the General Manager
  • Ensure the efficient use of company resources / fleet
  • Liaise daily with relevant Divisional/Subsidiary team leader to ensure smooth overall warehouse operations
  • Plan and direct daily operation of the ambient warehouse
  • Ensure goods are delivered on a timely basis to satisfy SLA and OTIF requirements
  • Ensure goods are requisitioned to ensure timely replenishment
  • Schedule inter-island trucking and boat tickets
  • GPS Tracking to monitor fleet, customer service and productivity
  • Control expenditure in terms of overtime, head count and total warehouse needs
  • Oversee the application of work safety and related procedures
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of delivery fleet, forklifts, refrigeration units
  • Supervise the on the job training and performance of staff
  • Motivate staff to attain a high level of performance
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with the level of service by requesting feedback from delivery personnel on a daily basis with regard to customer concerns
  • Ensure all customer related problems are resolved immediately
  • Provide feedback/suggestions to General Manager on improvements required
  • Manage stock rotations and ensure measures to safeguard stock are in effect
  • Be available in the event of a national disaster
  • Provide advice, guidance, coaching and direction to team members
  • Conduct performance appraisals of team members in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain a harmonious work environment and ensure team members comply with safety regulations
  • Recruit and Co-ordinate Logistic/warehousing staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to requirements
  • Perform other related duties as required by job function
