The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, developing and delivering of educational programs that support employees’ professional development in keeping with the company’s objectives.
Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Co-ordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, developing and delivering of educational programs that support employees’ professional development in keeping with the company’s objectives. Additionally, he or she will also be responsible for maintaining the library of learning resources and all related training records.
Job Description:
- Provide on-site administrative support to learners by answering questions or providing additional resources as needed.
- Manage the budget, materials, and other resources available for training programs.
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate training classes for all employees within the organization.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure that all equipment and facilities are available for use during training sessions.
- Manage employee attendance records and check in students at the beginning of each class or assessment.
- Establish and maintain communication with managers and supervisors to ensure that training needs are being met.
- Conduct training evaluations to assess participant knowledge and determine the effectiveness of the training.
- Maintain an accurate and current records of all training and related assessments conducted.
- Send out pre-work and post-work if applicable and create and administer feedback surveys.
- Maintain an accurate and current learning management system of all training programs and material using the available platform.
- Assist with the implementation of collaborative learning strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Assist in organizing and cataloguing various training material.
- Prepare reports, curricula, and other documentation as required.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform any other job-related duties as required by the job function.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Education or Management from a recognized, accredited university
- At least 2 years’ experience in educational program coordination or administration
- Experience in using Learning Management Systems is an asset.
- Must be experienced in using MS Office Suite proficiently.
- Must be able to analyse and synthesize information to understand issues to make recommendations.
- Collaborative with the ability to be a key team player and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas clearly using oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills.
- Resilient and the ability to work effectively under pressure without becoming flustered.
- Ability to display a high level of integrity by keeping good on promises; holding self-accountable; and being honest and truthful.
- Exhibits attention to detail by thinking through the fine points, not easily distracted, meticulous diligent and disciplined.
