The Laundry Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the laundry’s operations, ensuring its efficient and effective management while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Summary

As a Laundry Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the laundry’s operations, ensuring its efficient and effective management while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will supervise a team of laundry staff, manage inventory and equipment, and ensure the smooth operation of laundry services and logistics. Your leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail will contribute to a well-run and customer-focused laundry department. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Oversee all departments inclusive of branches to support and maintain overarching production efficiencies and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with laundry procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Monitor the assembly line workflow and production to ensure timely and efficient processing of customer garments
  • Enforce quality control measures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and garment care.
  • Assisting team members where necessary
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the organisational relationship

Staffing

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and ongoing training to ensure high-quality work and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and allocate tasks to laundry team members.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and address any performance or behaviour issues.

Inventory and Equipment Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records of linens, supplies, and chemicals.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement to ensure sufficient supplies are available.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment.
  • Ensure timely servicing and repair of laundry machinery.

Quality Control

  • Enforce quality control measures to meet established standards.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and efficiently
  • Address client complaints and collaborate with other departments to resolve complaints promptly and efficiently.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including production reports, inventory records, and laundry expenses.
  • Prepare and manage the laundry expenses and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of client base. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Proven experience in operations management.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and steam equipment operations, maintenance and stock control procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Physically fit to perform the physical requirements of this role.
  • Flexibility to work long hours and on various shifts to meet customer demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, proactive and problem-solving nature.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering or Operations Management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years exposure in industrial operations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience at middle or senior management.
  • Certification in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary - TT$9,000.00 plus TT$1,000.00 incentive.
