JOB SUMMARY

Leading the performance optimization of assigned assets. This involves leading the identification, implementation and sustenance of maintenance, operational and engineering-based solutions which ensure the availability and reliability of assigned assets while maintaining personnel safety and food-safety standards

Key Responsibilities: 

• To ensure that all areas within which assigned assets operate, are maintained in a clean, tidy and organized manner.
• To identify, in conjunction with the EHS Officer, immediate and longer-term solutions for identified hazards and to enlist the support of necessary personnel (whether internal or external) for timely implementation of the solutions.
• To ensure that assigned assets are capable of being taken through proper CIP and sanitizing procedures in preparation for production.
• To lead failure troubleshooting efforts for assigned assets, both on site and remotely so as to ensure minimized unplanned downtime and efficient execution of corrective repairs.
• To provide timely support where necessary for corrective maintenance of assigned assets.
• To ensure that any routine or non-routine reports on assigned asset performance are completed accurately and on-time.
• To proactively communicate any possible risks to the timely satisfaction of production schedules so that contingency plans can be developed.
• To work with Production Supervisors and other maintenance personnel in identifying and implementing engineering solutions which minimize loss of material during production.
• To assist where necessary with the start-up and operation of assigned assets.
• To support other Asset Leaders in the execution of corrective and planned maintenance activities.
• To quickly liaise with production leaders following assessments of failure and determination of time to repair such that timely decisions may be made on the need to temporarily pursue an alternative process for continuation of the production run or reassign labour.
• To ensure that all agreed safety controls associated with the operation of assigned assets are consistently adhered to.
