Unicomer (Barbados) Ltd. is seeking detail-oriented and proactive Last Mile Delivery Coordinators to join our Logistics team. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers, managing delivery schedules, coordinating with drivers and third-party logistics providers, and resolving delivery issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and manage efficient delivery schedules, including optimizing routes to minimize delivery times and cost.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse pickers and clerks to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor deliveries in real time using company systems, proactively updating customers and resolving issues.
- Manage undelivered items in the system, coordinating returns or redelivery attempts.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve service quality.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential delivery problems; and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure timely deliveries.
- Generate standard and specialized reports on delivery performance metrics and summarize trends with a view to improve performance.
- Ensure all delivery activities comply with relevant safety regulations, transportation laws and company policies and standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and logistics principles and best practices.
- Expert knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, enterprise logistics software, order management/tracking software, and other relevant operational systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analysis skills, including pivot tables and report preparation.
- Proven ability to optimize routes, understand geography/transit times to properly sequence stops for profitability enhancement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A minimum of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- No less than 2 years’ experience in warehouse management, logistics, retail operations, last mile delivery operations or dispatching preferably in the furniture, appliance, or electronics industry.
