The Merchandising Manager will play an integral role in managing the seasonal core wholesale product line development process.

The Merchandising Manager will play an integral role in managing the seasonal core wholesale product line development process. This position sits within the Marketing Department, reporting directly to the Director, Product Development & Merchandising.

 The role

  • Drive the vision and direction for the brand’s seasonal line based on customer and sales feedback, POS data, and key initiatives; creating seasonal line plans and product stories.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, product development, sourcing, and finance to ensure seamless execution of seasonal line and existing style updates.
  • Oversee the development process, providing relevant guidance to design and PD, to deliver the seasonal line on time and in line with financial targets created by department VP and Chief Product Officer.
  • Ensure assortments meet margin, forecast, and revenue goals within designated brands.

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design, Apparel Merchandising, Product Line Management or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years' experience in the activewear industry.
  • Creativity and passion for product.
  • Able to embrace a challenger brand mindset.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Able to create consensus, influence and work collaboratively.
  • Critical attention to detail and deadlines.
  • The ability to develop and manage an effective working relationship between design, tech design, product development, sales, and marketing to effectively plan new product line introductions.
  • The ability to drive SKU/Style productivity goals and manage the inventory lifecycle from creation through disposal.
