Laboratory Supervisor

The Laboratory Supervisor plays a critical role in safeguarding the high-quality standards of Blue Waters’ products and ensuring a consistently excellent customer experience.

Job Summary 

The Laboratory Supervisor plays a critical role in safeguarding the high-quality standards of Blue Waters’ products and ensuring a consistently excellent customer experience. The incumbent will supervise and support a team of Quality Assurance Technicians, conduct routine laboratory testing across the production process and ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Assurance Technicians responsible for testing and monitoring product quality at every stage of the production process.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, food safety regulations and external audit requirements.
• Review, analyze and validate laboratory test results, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision in all testing.
• Manage stock levels of reagents, supplies and equipment while liaising with local and international vendors.
• Support audits, supplier evaluations and customer complaint investigations.

 Minimum Requirements

• BSc in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a Quality Assurance role within a beverage or food manufacturing plant.
• Solid knowledge of Microbiology, Raw Material Inspection, Beverage Bottling Processes and Laboratory Practices.
