Job Summary

The Lab Attendant is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by maintaining cleanliness, preparing materials, handling samples, and assisting laboratory personnel in routine tasks. The role ensures that the laboratory environment remains organized, safe, and compliant with company standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain laboratory work areas, equipment, and tools
• Assist with the preparation and handling of samples for testing
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals, materials, and samples
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental procedures
• Support laboratory staff with routine tasks and basic testing activities
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and notify supervisors of shortages
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and laboratory safety standards
• Perform basic administrative or record-keeping duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

• Secondary school education or equivalent
• Previous experience in a laboratory or similar environment is an asset
• Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety procedures preferred
