Oversee and lead a team of technicians at the Alexandra Resort to ensure functionality, reliability, efficiency and quality in the resort’s utilities, infrastructure and guest rooms while ensuring the highest guest experience quality.

Oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the resort’s facilities
Ensure all room related maintenance works are billed to the relevant areas
Liaise with external contractors and third party services
Develop various maintenance and engineering reports
Purchasing of parts at local stores as necessary
Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation.
Carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
Oversee the pool equipment and daily testing of pool
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Familiar and complies with the hotels mission and standards in performing maintenance activities.
Maximize maintenance team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employee and owners satisfaction.
Oversee the maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Respond to guest's maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient prompt and courteous service to hotel standards.
Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical. mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.
Ensure proper records are kept relating to equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.
Ensure that stores have adequate stocks of materials, equipment and tools and are kept in a clean and safe environment.
Take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all plant and mechanical equipment rooms.
Attend all Facility Management/Property meetings as required, passing on necessary information to the maintenance team in regular staff meetings.
Ensure the proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
Provide training to staff on supplies, inventory, maintenance and ordering procedures.
Train engineering department staff on correct maintenance procedures and assists in repairs as needed.
Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.
Respond to emergency situations after normal workings hours
Conducts daily shift line ups when necessary
Perform other duties assigned
Must be hands on.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems
Proven experience as an Engineer
Experience in planning maintenance operations
Extensive knowledge of facilities equipment such as generators, wastewater plants, lift pumps, elevators, hydraulic systems, gates,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar (Preferably in Electrical / Controls)
5 Years Experience in a similar role
Knowledge and operation of Software – Workforce Management, HOTSOS, Yellow dog, Opera, Excel, Word, Microsoft,
