The Enterprise by IR on behalf of The Jamaica Observer Media Group is seeking to hire a Junior Accounting Clerk to join their team.
Junior Accounting Clerk
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Department through the accuracy of deliverables in the specified time.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Responsible for executing the functions of the Accounts Payables desk.
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Prepare assigned audit schedules by the 15th of the following month.
- Assist with the monitoring and updating of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Reconciliation of inter-company accounts.
- Reconciliation of selected vendor accounts.
- Filing of payment vouchers on a weekly basis.
- To perform any other duties assigned by your manager/supervisor in keeping with the scope of your position.
- At least four (4) passes in CXC/GCE including mathematics, English language, and accounting.
- Two (2) years experience in accounting.
- Formal training in accounting would be an asset.
- Computer literate.
- Proficient in data entry.
- Knowledge of General Accounting principles.
- Knowledge of Baseview accounting system.
