Join Our Logistics Team, Kingston Jamaica

 

1) Executive Salesperson

Purpose:

To acquire and manage an assigned client portfolio to ensure the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements:

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, or related fields.

Languages: Intermediate English

Experience: 7 years in sales

 

2) Bearer

Functions:

•Conduct business transactions including but not limited to bank transactions,
•Be punctual, courteous and appropriately dressed to represent the company.
•Delivery and pickup of items, documentation.
•Be willing and able to perform tasks without direct supervision.
•Maintain open communication with team members.
•Making payments and lodging manifests at various ports.
•To assist in any other assignment according to company needs.

Requirements

Secondary level education with passes in at least three (3) subjects, one of which should be English 
Knowledge of customs and port documentation.
1-2 years in a similar role.
A valid driver’s/motorcycle licence 
Must own and operate a reliable motorcycle (Required)


3) Customs Documentation Clerk
Functions:
  • Verify the tariff classification in the customs files.                                       
  • Maintain an updated internal clearance log.                                                  
  • Comply with full customs laws and Local laws prior, during and after clearing process.                                                                                                    
  • Coordinate with airline/shipping line /supplier/contractor contact to ensure smooth shipment handling and compliance with standard operating procedures/customer requirements.                                                                   
  • Create the customs documentation and publish it on the web server.
  • Request payments of duties and other taxes from finance.                           
  • Complete and submit all manifests for shipments.                            
  • Monitor shipment status and update company systems (e.g., Ops log & Cargo Wise) as per business rules.                                                                        
  • Follow up with the shipping company on arrival notices.                             
  • Submit documents for exports                                                                       
  • Follow up with the customs broker to obtain updated information on shipments being cleared.                                                                       
  • Provide support in the physical dispatch of shipments when necessary.       
  • Delivery of shipments to customers as per standard operating procedures/customer requirements                                                               
  • Apply for the permits required by customs.                                                  
  • Vet invoices submitted by customers.                                                
  • Assist with Delivery Orders in PCS (Port Community System).                  
  • Detect and report non-conformities to create opportunities to improve in your area.           
Requirements:
Minimum: Bachelor           
1 year of relevant experience in similar positions          
MS Office             
Basic knowledge in AFR- & OFR operations i.e., handling/ documentation/ customs clearance     

 

4) Dispatcher

Functions:

  • Receive and accept products in the warehouse after proper inspection of the documentation that is required for the item, ensuring that it corresponds to the merchandise received   regarding it’s description and quantity and or Dispatch products from the warehouse, after properly inspecting that the documentation is correct, confirming that the data corresponds to the shipped merchandise, both in description and quantity.                                    
  • Inspect all products entering the warehouse and inspect all products exit from the warehouse.                        
  • Inspect all entrances of vans, trucks and containers to our warehouse area and or inspect all exits of vans, trucks and containers.                                      
  • Complete the indicated documentation, collect, validate, and send the reviewed information to  the assigned/corresponding people.                   
  • Give notice of any discrepancy, breakdown or non-conforming aspect in products detected while executing daily activities.                               
  • Maintain inventory accuracy.                        
  • Maintain good product storage and handling practices daily.
  • Communicate any activity or opportunity of improvement that can be implemented in your            workplace or general environment.                                       
  • Complete the indicated documentation, collect, validate, and send the confirmed information to the corresponding people.                                               
  • Detect and report nonconformities to create opportunities of improvements in your area.           

Requirements:

High School graduate   
1 year working with similar functions (desirable) 
Knowledge of storage and inventory control processes
Knowledge regarding Container inspection 
Microsoft Office (Word and basic Excel)  
Good documentation practices
