We are looking for a Guest Services/Concierge Agent for the Blue Haven Marina. The marina attracts vessels ranging in size from 25 feet to over 200 feet in length.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Guest Services/Concierge Agent for the Blue Haven Marina. The marina attracts vessels ranging in size from 25 feet to over 200 feet in length.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of customer care via concierge services and assist with the organisation of events and functions.
  • Oversee, as well as provide customer reception, including face-to-face enquiries from customers and visitors. This includes creating employee schedules for marina and addressing Front Desk HR related concerns.
  • Answer the telephone in a prompt and friendly manner and assist with enquiries.
  • Update enquiries spread sheet.
  • Maintain accurate records and berthing registers for all Marina customers. Knowledge of all customers’ status should be apparent at all times.
  • Data entry for the updating of the customer database, various spreadsheets, and month-end statistics.
  • Maintaining an efficient archival system by ensuring customer hard copy files are true and current.
  • Process guests’ amenity billing (power and water).
  • Invoice customers for services rendered.
  • Debt collection from customers.
  • Process credit card payments by debtors.
  • Reconciliation of received monies.
  • Ensure cash handling policies and procedures are met.
  • Ensure daily fuel consumptions are logged.
  • Reconcile and process daily fuel sales and update Fuel Summary Report.
  • Open, sort and distribute internal and external mail; organise couriers as appropriate.
  • Stock control of stationery, consumables (tea, coffee, etc..) and promotional literature and other merchandise, as necessary.
  • Replenishing office supplies and consumables as required.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy reception area.
  • Other tasks as requested by Marina General Manager from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on luxury yachts and/or at a marina operation.
  • Experience in client relations within the hotel and/or cruise ship industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • The ability to speak additional languages would be a plus.
