The Stores Clerk is responsible for the coordination of the flow and reconciliation of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule. He or she would assist with receiving, storing, locating, issuing parts and materials, and maintaining proper records of all transactions. The goal is to ensure the support for the Department’s operations to run smoothly and effectively whereas to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Job Description:
- Ensure and physically verify that all new and returned pallets received, meet ANSA Polymer’s set standard for “Good Pallets.” Pallets must be examined to ensure that the physical quantities match the quantities indicated on the relevant documents, and any discrepancies must be reported.
- Oversee and physically confirm that all additional incoming packaging materials has the accurate associated documentation.
- Ensure that all packaging materials received via D365O is no later than 24 hours after physical receipt.
- Assist with processing negative sales orders for good, returned pallets from the ‘trade’ and forward to Finance for credit processing.
- Coordinate the requisitioned quantities of materials to the packaging stores casual and direct on the creation of the PVC frames.
- Ensure the appropriate Inventory Adjustment via Movement Journals are completed, adhering to the procedure set for the “treatment of PVC Frames.”
- Perform monthly and weekly stock counts of all packaging materials, and report reconciliation where applicable.
- Compile a minimum/maximum reorder report for PVC Elbows, PVC Lengths, Pallets and Klotzpack.
- Participate in the monthly Inventory Stock Counts for both Raw Material and Finished Goods.
- Manage the inventory and safeguard of all tools/equipment’s used in the creation of the PVC Frames.
- Generate Purchase Requisitions for the replenishment of packaging materials under the guidance and/or instruction of immediate supervisor.
- Comply and perform all duties in conformance with the Company’s/Department’s strategies along with the Quality Management System as it relates to health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform any other job duties as required by the job function.
Education and Experience Requirement:
- 5 CXC O’ levels inclusive of Mathematics and English or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- A certificate or diploma in business administration, inventory control management or related discipline would be an asset.
- At least two (2) years ‘experience in a similar position.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry would be considered an asset.
