Primary objective of the job: 
Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of the packet core network infrastructure. The role aims to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of packet core elements, supporting the delivery of data services and ensuring a seamless user experience.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Packet Core Network Management: Manage the planning, implementation, and operation of the packet core network, including elements such as gateways, routers, and switches.
  • Network Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of the packet core network, ensuring efficient traffic routing, low latency, and high bandwidth availability.
  • Service Quality and Reliability: Implement measures to maintain service quality and reliability, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and effective load balancing.
  • Network Security and Resilience: Implement robust security measures and resilience mechanisms to protect the packet core network against cyber threats and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the packet core team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment while nurturing talent and professional growth.
  • Plan, implement, and manage the packet core network infrastructure,
  • Monitoring and optimizing network performance for efficient traffic routing and high bandwidth availability
  • Ensuring service quality and reliability through fault tolerance and load balancing mechanisms
  • Implementing robust security measures and resilience mechanisms to protect the network
  • Leading and developing the packet core team
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration
  • Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in packet core networks.

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in packet core network planning, design, implementation, and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of packet core network elements, protocols, and architectures.
  • Experience with packet core platforms, gateways, routers, and switches.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Sound understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Strong technical understanding of packet core networks, protocols, and architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in packet core environments.
