Job Overview:

As a landscaper, you will ensure the growth and vibrancy of our plants, flowers, lawn, and garden structures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plants and maintains lawns, shrubs, flowers and trees.
• Applies fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide, and water.
• Trims and prunes as required.
• Maintains outdoor furniture and equipment and repairs groundskeeping equipment and tools.          
• Uses power and hand mowers and clippers to cut lawns and shrubs.       
• Maintains trees using pruning shears and pruning saws.
• Uses and maintains special power tools and equipment, including lawn sweeper, sprayer, pneumatic tools, automatic sprinkler system, salt spreader, roto-tiller, and trencher.
• Uses and maintains hand tools such as shovel rake, hoe, broom, pick, post hole digger, hoses, dolly, and wheelbarrow.            
• Works from verbal instructions, work orders, schedules, and blueprints. 
• Prepares drawings and sketches.      
• Requisitions material supplies and tools.      
• Keeps simple inventory records.       
• Prepares soil by cultivating, fertilizing, and soil conditioning.
• Mixes and applies sprays and dusts.
• Removes and store plants and bulbs for winter.         
• Starts, transplants, and develops seedlings, sod, trees, and cuttings.     
• Adjusts, lubricates, and repairs sprinklers, mowers, and grounds equipment as required.

Requirements:

• Can work well under pressure in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong guest service orientation
• Can work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Team player – works well with and supports team colleagues.
• 2-3 years’ experience as a landscaper
• Able to start, run and stop groundskeeping equipment.         
• Works with water soluble and oil-based lubricants.  

Works on ladders, scaffolds and in pits.
