Job Brief

We are seeking a Chief Engineer for a small island that has 7 villas and 10 suites. The Chief engineer will manage all hotel asset preventive maintenance. Manage hotel maintenance team, organizing efforts around providing a premier facility to support positive guest experience. Represents engineering department in management meetings.

Job Description:

• Managing all hotel asset preventive maintenance
• Manage hotel maintenance team, organizing efforts around providing a premier facility to support positive guest experience.
• Represents engineering department in management meetings.
• Plan, prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests.
• Leads installation of all new equipment
• Ensures proper record keeping for hotel audits and inspections.
• Ensures parts inventory is sufficient to handle reactive work orders.
• Perform daily and weekly property inspections.
• Provide training and mentorship to engineering department. Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical. mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.
• Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plants and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.
• Discuss with GM / Owner / Department heads on maintenance status and inspection reports.
• Respond to corporate and management inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-7 years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering with positive attitude, good communication skills and committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
