Security Technician - Alarm Systems

CLIENT is looking for Security Technicians who would be responsible for performing the installation, service and maintenance of Intrusion Alarm Systems, Electronic Door locks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install/ commission our wide range of equipment including; Intruder Alarms and Access Control.
  • Provide excellent service to customers, building solid working relationships.
  • Prepare for jobs by reading site plans, specifications and ensuring all equipment is available.
  • Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras, and alarm points to any system.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems and/or equipment.
  • Notify team lead of materials or tools needed to complete duties.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Fault finding and problem solving when attending call outs / break downs.
  • Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers during both reactive and routine visits.
  • Complete all company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Be Flexible to work on call 24/7.
  • Advise customers on new products and services to improve efficiency.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Qualifications in a related or similar field will be an asset.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining security systems.
  • Knowledge of networks and computer and information technology related systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organization and planning skills.
  • Maintain an established work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Certificate of Character
  • Ability to drive Manual/Heavy T
