Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant General Manager to lead and oversee the overall operations of our restaurant. As a high-level manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the restaurant's success by providing leadership, managing staff, maintaining exceptional customer service, and optimizing business performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Provide visionary leadership to the restaurant team, setting clear expectations and fostering a positive work environment.
    • Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff, including managers, chefs, servers, and support personnel.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement coaching and development plans.
  • Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Monitor and maintain high levels of food quality, presentation, and service standards.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the restaurant's budget, forecasting revenues, and controlling expenses to achieve financial targets.
    • Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to optimize profitability.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure a superior guest experience by addressing customer feedback, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a customer-focused culture.
    • Monitor service quality, staff appearance, and overall ambiance to exceed guest expectations.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to create and execute marketing strategies, promotions, and events to attract and retain customers.
    • Build and maintain relationships with the local community to increase restaurant visibility and engagement.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage inventory levels efficiently, minimizing waste, and ensuring timely ordering of supplies and ingredients.
    • Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed decisions and improvements.
    • Continuously assess and adapt strategies to meet changing market trends and customer preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions, and solve problems.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
