The HR Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations, performing both administrative and strategic functions in the administration of the policies, and procedures organization.
Responsibilities
Responsible to Reporting daily Employee issues.
Responsible for employee Leave Administration ensuring all leave forms are accurately completed and recorded.
Assist with the Staff loan facility ensuring approvals are communicated, deducted and accurately documented.
Updating employee HRIS databases as necessary
Assist with preparing pre-onboarding and onboarding packages.
Assist with the employment of Employees for NI # and registrations & Terminations.
Assist with the day-to-day administrative functions of HR Department as needed.
Assist with the preparation of employment contracts, job Letters & employment Letters in a timely manner.
Responsible for tracking employee’s end of Training & probation dates.
Sort and distribute mail as necessary.
Any other duties assigned by the HRM and Management
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a HR Assistant or related experience for a minimum of 2 years
Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Superb computer literacy with capability in MS office and proficiency to quickly learn new systems.
Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Ability to prioritize tasks
High ethical conduct with the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
