We are seeking an experienced Training & Development Manager to join our company. The person will be responsible for coordinating the training activities of the organization as well as the orientation, knowledge and skills towards the achievement and satisfaction of guests.

We are seeking an experienced Training & Development Manager to join our company. The person will be responsible for Coordinating the training activities of the organization and managing the legal aspect of it, as well as the orientation, knowledge and skills towards the achievement and satisfaction of guests. The Training & Development Manager will also be responsible for the strategic direction of the department in alignment with the company goals and objectives.

 

 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet the specific objectives of your area and position.
  • Ensure compliance with the procedures and methods requested by the Corporate in the correct implementation of training programs and actions.
  • To guide and direct the work of internal trainers, both in methodology and educational technology.
  • Follow up on permanent training programs and plans.
  • Coordinate and execute the monitoring systems of the plans and programs, such as Tutor Plan, American Friendly Service, Induction Course, etc.
  • Provide feedback on training actions (internal trainers, participants and managers) to evaluate the follow-up and results obtained.
  • Prepare the recognitions, certificates and diplomas of participation of the courses.
  • Issue the certificates of skills of the participants to each course.
  • Analyze the different indicators arising from the different means of valuation and make the relevant proposals for improvements.
  • Manage regular meetings with your department.
  • Select experts and consulting or training companies, negotiating the improvements of conditions in accordance with the requirements with the Corporate and adjusted to the authorized budget.
  • Develop and keep updated all internal training materials (Welcome Program, information pills, etc.) following the patterns established by the Corporate.
  • Organize and plan the training actions included in the Up Plan; schedule induction, America Friendly Service, etc.
  • Supervise the execution and monitoring of the calls prior to the training actions.
  • Detect Training Needs.
  • Register and coordinate the Joint Training Commission.
  • Keep the unions informed in a timely manner about those activities that should be mentioned to them.
  • Verify who were the employees most flattered by the Guests.
  • Report budget deviations or other incidents to the Corporate and the GRH.
  • Perform and send the reports to the requesting Corporate, Human Resources Manager and the manager of the hotel or complex.
  • Prepare the Report of Man-Hours in Training.
  • Schedule and coordinate the training courses of the month, according to the central theme.
  • Present Training Courses.
  • Teach Courses at All Levels of the Organization.
  • Evaluate the exhibitors of the scheduled courses.
  • Verify the attendance of the collaborators to the courses.
  • Invite employees to training courses.
  • Make the Certificates of Participation of the courses and register them with STP.
  • Update the courses taken by the collaborators in their Cardex (R.H. PROCESS)
  • Prepare and Register the Annual Training Plan with the Secretary of Labor and SocialWelfare.
  • Send the Registration of the Courses Taught Annually to the STPS.
  • Provide training actions.
  • Report and / or request changes in the aforementioned materials to the Corporate and the HR Director.
  • Inform and advise the Corporate on the convenience of modifications or innovations in the Up Plan in the face of unforeseen training demands.
  • Promote among Workers the Interest to improve and improve their level of studies and languages.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND SKILLS
  • Master's or Postgraduate Degree in HR, Hospitality and Tourism Management or related field
  • Training in management and /or supervisory skills 
  • Minimum experience of 3  years as a Training & Development Manager. Knowledge  in development of training content, adult pedagogy (INEA), group management, hotel operation, training of trainers and office package.
  • Special conditions: instructor certified in the IEEA
  • Spanish and High English. 
  • Experience at the management level in a large 5-star luxury hotel with at least 1000 team members.
