Product Development and Sales Officer

Location: Port of Spain

Salary: TT$14,000 to $17,000

Employment Type: Permanent

 

 

Responsibilities

1. Identify strategies to accomplish sales growth:

  • Production Targets
  • Talent Development & Professional Growth
  • Product Review

2. Budget

3. Ensure the accomplishment of RAC production and profitability targets for all lines of business in all Territories:

  • KPI Indicators
  • Profit & Loss
  • Product Mix Assumptions

4. Quality:

  • Ensure that high quality, reliable and compliant service is provided to clients by the Sales Team during the initial sales process and throughout the life of each policy and working with Policy Owner Service (POS) at Head Office when necessary.

5. Administration:

Quality Administration

  • Ensure that resources are being used in accordance with budget assumptions
  • Ensure the implementation of action plans to eliminate audit points through weekly reminders and follow through.
  • Ensure compliance action plan is implemented within agreed timelines.
  • Comply with regulators and local procedures in regard to Agency and product matters, within stipulated deadlines.
  • Maintain T&T state sales representative license

Training and Development:

  • Pro-active in establishing training and development needs for the Sales Team
  • Target market training as required in agent’s career path.
  • Deliver Product training for established and new products according to schedule.
  • Deliver Broker, Unit and Agency Managers training and development according to schedule or as needed.
  • Ensure delivery of relevant training by identifying training needs through sampling of production skills and knowledge.

 

Marketing and Promotions

  • Work with the THE CLIENT  Corporate Marketing Dept. on the respective lines of business to build the brand of the products
  • Service high-performing Agents and Brokers to drive sales

 

 

ACADEMIC/EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration is desirable.
  • TT State License (must be obtained) if accepted for the post
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in sales management with a successful track record.
  • Five (5) years personal Insurance sales experience would be an asset
  • Experience in establishing and/or developing sales distribution channels.
  • Local business experience is highly desirable, preferably with well positioned companies in the Caribbean.
  • Understanding of the key business drivers of an agency operation would be an asset
  • Experience in Product management sales would be an asset
  • Fluency in Spanish - Desirable
