Customer Service Advisor

Salary:                          TT$6,000

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate for the auto garage needs to be a team player, possess strong admin and computer skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to function without constant supervision. There are several key qualities and skills that we are looking for in a potential candidate. Here is a list of qualities:

 

  • Financial Awareness: Candidate who has a basic understanding of financial accounting principles. This is beneficial for managing petty cash,            performing minor accounting tasks, and accurately handling client payments.

 

  • QuickBooks or Accounting Software exposure: Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software would be an asset.

 

  • Admin and Computer Skills: Candidate who has the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently. They should be comfortable using various     software and tools for scheduling appointments, managing customer records, and generating reports.

 

  • Technical Knowledge: While not mandatory, a basic understanding of automotive mechanics and terminology can be beneficial. This knowledge     will help them communicate more effectively with both the garage's team and customers.

 

  • Strong Communication Skills: The service advisor needs to interact with both the garage's team and customers regularly. Effective     communication, both written and verbal, is crucial to ensure that information is conveyed accurately and professionally.

 

  • Customer Service Skills: A strong personality should be accompanied by excellent customer service skills. The advisor should be able to handle     customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive customer experience.

 

  • Teamwork: The ability to work within a team is essential. The advisor will interact with the small team of six, so they should be able to collaborate     effectively.  

 

  • Organizational Skills: With a variety of tasks to juggle, including scheduling appointments, managing records, maintaining inventory, managing     petty cash, the service advisor must be highly organized to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

 

  • Self-Motivation and Independence: Since the advisor will be functioning without constant supervision, they need to be self-driven and motivated to accomplish tasks and meet goals.

 

  • Attention to Detail: Precision is crucial in managing service orders, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate information is conveyed to     customers and the team.

 

  • Drivers permit: This will be an asset as, as on occasion the advisor may need to drop off a client or collect a part from a Part’s Shop

 

  • Adaptability: The automotive industry can be dynamic, with changes in technology and procedures. A candidate who is open to learning and     adapting to new processes will be a valuable asset.

 

  • Previous Experience: Looking for candidates who has worked in a similar role or environment is not essential but would be an asset. Experience in     customer service, administration, or the automotive industry can provide valuable insights and skills.
