To conduct, maintain, test, adjust, calibrate and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components, and to provide skilled electronic support to all areas of the Company’s operations.
1. Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles.
2. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
3. Reads and works to the indicated accuracy, specifications and tolerances as detailed on engineering drawings, blueprints and equipment manuals.
4.Configures, operates and reads precision testing and measuring instruments in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and accuracy.
5.Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, calibrates and makes adjustments based on the diagnosis, using repair parts, by correcting existing parts or by innovation to select substitute parts. Advises operators and line mechanics of the appropriate operating procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
6.Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
7.Conducts periodic PM’s for all system controls; establish and create additional PM’s as required. Maintains Company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. Maintains the minimum required quality and quantity of personal hand tools for use on the job, as instructed by management. Works in accordance with all plant safety guidelines at all times .Performs any other related functions consequential and incidental to the position.
