Forklift Operator (GBI), Guyana Breweries Inc.

Job Summary: 

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for transporting goods from one place to another and operating in a safe manner to deliver the business objectives.

Job Description:

• Loading, unloading and receiving warehouse items.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Inspecting for any damage to vehicles.
• Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Operating and managing technical equipment.
• Adhering to safety management standards.
• Adhering to production schedules.
• Ensure there is safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Rotate stock so that the oldest items are sold first (First in, first out method)
• Offloading of containers in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs any other related duties as may be required by the function.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills in Basic applications.
• Must be a Certified Forklift Operator
• Good personal time management, punctual and able to work with deadlines.
• Be articulate, self-confident, strong, and politely assertive.
