To operate and maintain the plant using preventive maintenance and trouble shooting techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures all equipment assigned for operation is running as efficiently as possible.
  2. Maintains regular checks on equipment to ensure optimum performance.
  3. Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily production reports.
  4. Ensures hourly rates are in line with equipment specifications.
  5. Ensures all waste is weighed and recorded to maintain general sanitation of workspace.
  6. Immediately reports all Food Safety hazards and malfunctioning equipment.
  7. Communicates with relief Process Technician on following shift to ensure accurate changeover.
  8. Performs corrective and trouble shooting maintenance on equipment to maintain optimum performance.
  9. Uses personal protection and safety equipment as required
  10. Follows safe work procedures.
  11. Any other assigned taskes assigned by the manager.

Qualifications / Education:

  • MEEET or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, methods and techniques.

Skills / Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Excellent critical thinking, operations analysis and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and writing).

Personal Characteristics:

  • Capable of working on a shift basis.
  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends as required.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must adhere to and enforce all safety rules and good manufacturing practices of the Company during the performance of his/her duties.
