Job Description:
- Oversees the tendering, spares, CBL, CDC purchasing for all Breweries.
- Set and control the Purchasing Department’s annual budget.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in an effort to assess present and future material availability.
- Represent the sector when necessary, in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- Ensure that supplies are available when they are needed to meet changing levels of demand for the company’s products.
- Review contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Manage claims, ensuring a resolution as per the claims policy.
- Manages the company’s tendering process as per the groups tendering policy. Convene meeting with the Tenders committee when and as required and execute the decisions taken by the committee.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, when required.
- Oversee material requirements for Regional Breweries.
- Ensure Staff follows up on all outstanding orders; leading to the timely provision of quality goods, services and consumables.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate with supplies for better terms and conditions for goods and services to be provided.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BSc degree in Management /Accounting /Engineering.
- A Professional Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply will be an asset.
- At least three years’ work experience in a similar senior Purchasing or Logistics position.
- Advance negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Strong negotiation and teamwork skills.
- Effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Financial awareness and understanding of procurement’s impact on business operations and profitability.
