Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator supports the HR Department in maximizing staffing resources, promoting a positive organizational culture through talent review and succession planning, minimizing risks and ensuring the efficiency of work processes. The HR Coordinator is also responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of HR reports. The HR Coordinator would have fundamental knowledge of various HR functions including HR Administration, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruitment & Selection, Training and Development, and Performance Management.
Job Description:
- Supports the staff recruitment and selection process to close vacancies, inclusive of the onboarding processes.
- Provide assistance to Managers in managing employee absences, timekeeping, standards of conduct and all related performance issues.
- Provide support to supervisors and managers for employee appraisals, KPI Reviews and end of year review process.
- Support the HR Manager with completing and tracking Talent development plans.
- Support the implementation of all employee engagement activities.
- Conduct research for various undertakings and projects.
- Assist to prepare HR reports, correspondence and other related documents.
- Support the Human Resource Officer with the Benefits Administration process, additions and deletions of Group Health, Life, Pensions.
- Updates all establishments/employee databases, salary spreadsheets, organisational charts and other HR records and statistical reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Comply with Group’s processes and policies as set out and stated in ANSA McAL Blue Book.
- Performs all duties in conformance with appropriate health, safety, security and environmental and SDL’s policies and procedures.
- Any other duties, which may be assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Management/Administration, or another relevant discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience, preferably in a Retail environment.
- A working knowledge of Payroll Processing software; working experience with EZPay/Payroll 123 would be an asset.
- A working knowledge of Leave Management software; working experience with Jantek would be an asset.
- A working knowledge of HRIS software; working experience with SAP Success Factors would be an asset.
