Information Security Director

The Information Security Director provides independent, reasonable objective assurance and recommendations to add value and improve, security and operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and reviews potentially fraudulent activities and determines risk exposure
• Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues and conduct internal reviews or audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed
• Assess compliance or operational risks and develop risk management strategies
• Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation
• Evaluate policies and procedures related to compliance functions and document procedures that are needed or provide updates
• Evaluate/Examine testing procedures to meet specifics of monitoring programs
• Conduct/Verify software technology to provide oversight and monitoring in all required areas
• Lead client-initiated assessment projects and provide feedback of findings
• Provide analysis of risks assessments for leadership teams
• Prepare management reports and executive dashboard regarding compliance operations and progress
• Partner with business owners to understand risks and communicate recommendations needed to Senior Leaders
• Manage, coach, and develop two Compliance Team Members
• Recommend process and policy improvements through remediation strategies
• Follow up to ensure that approved recommendations are implemented
• Sponsor and support corporate compliance initiatives

Qualifications

· Education – undergraduate degree, Business, Information systems or related business

discipline, preferred

· Minimum 4 to 5 years previous experience as Cyber Security/Information Security Director

Knowledge:

· Exceptional knowledge in Fraud, Detection and Prevention Strategies

· Strong understanding of internal control concepts, internal auditing standards, and risk

assessment methodologies/practices required

· Strong understanding/knowledge in Compliance and Risk Management, ideally in a Call

Center environment or Compliance Regulated Industry

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to work independently with limited required direction and guidance

· Ability to work on simultaneous projects and teams

· Ability to respond to internal requests for support and assistance in a prompt and professional

manner

· Team oriented individual

· Ability to work in a confidential manner due to access to information of a sensitive nature

· Strong time management, problem-solving and analytical skills
