HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant performs administrative and office support activities. This includes fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Interact with both internal and external clients/customers through multiple channels.
  • Greet visitors - welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming calls while providing basic information as needed.
  • Control Access by monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges.
  • Prepare letters.
  • Log and issue company cheques.
  • Perform other administrative duties such as photocopying, collating and faxing.
  • Monitor and maintain employee records.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees.
  • Provide support for projects and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong computer skills, including internet, Word, Excel, Outlook and PC Based applications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English including proper grammar.

• Good time management skills

• Listening Skills

• Strict Confidentiality Standards

• Ability to adhere to processes, procedures and guidelines during the execution of tasks and assignments.

• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service.

  • Ability to exercise good judgement
  • Ability to work under pressure and without constant supervision
  • Ability to work on own initiative and focus on details
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or Related Field

Or

  • HEART NTCVET Certificate level III or higher

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Human Resources Administrative Assistant or similar role.

 

All applicants must have a valid Government issued photo ID, TRN & NIS. Successful candidates must be able to furnish a police record and pass an employment background check.
